Word 2003

I

Ian Anderson

1. The spell checker keeps changing to US English and also ticks the box don't
spell check or check grammar. The auto detect box is ticked but I've tried
this both ways. I keep resetting to UK English and it stays for a while and
then changes to the US English again.

2. Again on Word crop marks have appear at top and bottom right and left. I
just can't find a way to get rid of them.

3. When clicking on the send e-mail option on Word or Excel I get the
message: Could not start e-mail program. Check your network connection.
Make sure Office is installed correctly, your e-mail program is set up
correctly and you can connect to you e-mail sever.

I use outlook 2003 for e-mail and I've tried reinstalling XP professional to
cure the above problems but to no avail.

Any ideas please.

1. See http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/LangFmt.htm.

2. See “Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when
you open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003”
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371

3. Ask in an Outlook NG if you don't get an answer here, but check that on
the Other tab of Tools | Options in Outlook you have checked the box for
"Make Outlook the default program for E-mail..." and that Outlook is also
selected as the default email client in Control Panel | Internet Options |
Programs.
