Have a Word 2003 Document: 18 pages, about 30 imported bitmap images
(printscreens) of a total uncompressed size of 21 MByte.
Clicked in my Word document on one Bitmap and enabled the option "compress
images" for all images in the document. Saved the document: Total Size:
65.934 MByte !!! Copy the whole document into a new document. This new
document is 15 kByte smaller (?!). Converted the document into a PDF, Size:
782 kByte! Tried to convert the document from Word 2003 into another format
like Word 6.0: Got an error message "Not enough memory to finish the
conversion". I have 1GByte RAM in my computer, and all Office 2003 Patches
from the Microsoft Office Update Site applied.
Does anyone have an idea how to shrink my document?
Thank you in advance for any help!
