How do I correct for extremely slow loading Word 2003 documents?

1. Were the documents created from a special template? Has the
location of that template been moved? (Or did you perhaps receive
them by email?)
2. Do you have a lot of tools and/or addins loaded?
3. Do you have antivirus software that's configured to check every
document before it's opened?
4. do you use any kind of document management tool?

1. Were the documents created from a special template? Has the
location of that template been moved? (Or did you perhaps receive
them by email?)
