Word 2003 Cursor not working

My computer was just updated to Office 2003. Now, I can only use my arrow
keys to navigate around in Word (and in Outlook too, it seems), and cannot
use mouse cursor. I have searched the Help menu, and this site, and cannot
find an answer to the Word 2003 cursor problem. Please help!

This is a not uncommon problem with Word 2007, but I have not heard of it
happening with Word 2003? The answer for Word 2007 is to delete the Word
Data key in the registry (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm. ) and it will
do no harm to attempt this in Word 2003 ... if, on a company machine, you
have access to the registry. If not contact your IT support.
