word 2003 as my email editor does not send messages

I am using outlook express 2003 with my hotmail account, and when I click on
a link to an email address in a posting or website, I get a message stating
that "starting microsoft word 2003 as your email editor".
It will show and message box with the email address, but when I press send
it does not send it, although it will appear it was sent.
Any suggestions ?

There is no such thing as "outlook express 2003". You cannot use Word
2003 as your email editor in Outlook Express. Suggest you tell us what
you are actually doing.

well under properties in outlook express is says "Outlook Express 2003"

Are you sure it's not Outlook 2003? In that you can use Word as your mail
editor.
