Purchased new HP notebook PC. Has Microsoft WORKS not WORD. All old files
in Word 2003 and Excel. Can I and how do I download into WORKS?

If you have a retail version of Office 2003 from your old PC, you should be
licensed to install it on your new laptop - which would be the obvious way
to handle this.
I believe recent versions of Works should be able to open Word documents
(though I don't currently have Works available to check). You would lose
any features of the document that are not compatible with Works.
