Help! I am totally perplexed. In preview my Word docs are looking okay - I
have also checked with 'show/hide' formatting. On printing the documents,
random words appear to have an extra 'accidental' space in the middle. There
is no consistency regarding which letters the extra space occurs between and
it is occuring throughout different documents. Does anybody have any
suggestions?

Not sure but can you print to another printer to check if it's a printer
issue? Also might be worth saving a copy of one of the documents and then
converting all the text to another font and try printing this to see if it's
just those fonts on your printer that are screwy...have you cut and pasted
anything from the web into those docs? I think sometimes the web coding can
make docs play up...

If you're pressed for time and need to print a document urgently then maybe
try downloading the free PDF995 software from the web - there are 2 bits to
download - it will take a few mins. At least you should be able to quickly
convert docs to PDFs to try printing but it's only a workaround ...

Hope that helps...

This is usually a problem with a buggy printer driver. Visit the web site of
the printer manufacturer to see if you can download an updated driver.

If the printer is from HP, try the site http://www.hp.com/pond/ljbeta/.

Try updating your printer driver.
