Word 2002 - xp track changes - deletion of original text

Hi Everyone -

I have just upgraded from Word 2000 to Word 2002, and when original text is deleted and then you want to reject or undo that deletion, Word 2002 deletes the original text instead of just undoing it (forcing you to have to exit Track Changes and type all the text back in if you want to restore it). This was not a problem in Word 2000. Any way around getting out of TC completely to retype?

Thanks very much in advance for any help..

I'm not following exactly, I don't think. Could you describe the exact steps you're following, please?
