Word 2002 not displaying fonts

When I open up MS Word 2002 it doesn't display my fonts on the drop down menu on the formatting toolbar. It has 3 different device fonts, and that's it. When I type the name of the font in it works, but it doesn't have a list of them when I click the drop down arrow. I tried reinstalling Word, I installed all the office updates, and I installed all the windows updates. I'm using XP Home. What can I do?
