Word 2002 : email editor?

I have Outlook XP and Word XP.

When I first used them about a year ago Word functioned
as the email editor but then I began receiving an error
message telling me that Word was busy and I was switched
to Outlook's email editor.

I have followed the instructions in an article in the
Technical database and deleted various registry entries
and then repaired Office XP. It has not made any
difference.

What can I do? Help would be appreciated.

Here are some things you could try;

1) Reapply Servicepack 2

2) You could locate your normal.dot file for Word and rename it to .old (in
case it doesn't help you can rename it back).

3) Do you have signatures configured in Outlook? Set the default to "none".
I've seen some cases in which this worked. Outlook stated that Word couldn't
be louded because of problems with forms. Reattaching did the trick.
