I am using word 2000 and please tell me how can I "Register" a word file so
any boby can not open it without username & password. How can I make a word
file "Read Only" and "Unprintable"
Thanks

What you ask is impossible with any version of Word (or any Windows
application for that matter). Any document you allow someone to see is the
viewers' to do with as they wish.
The best you can achieve is to use Adobe Acrobat to produce a secure PDF
file with print inhibited. This will stop someone determined from printing
it for all of ten minutes

Unfortunately while that utility may be useful, it does not resolve the
issue. You can add a password to any Word document from Word itself, which
will stop all but the most determined intruder, but anyone who can open the
document can do with it what they want. There is no way on earth to prevent
someone from printing a document that they can see.
