Word 2000--How can I match properties?

I'm looking for the "paintbrush" that enables one to format one item to match
the properties of another. Does this exist in MS Word 2000?

I think the Format Painter command/button goes back farther than that. It
may not be displayed if you still have your Standard and Formatting toolbars
displayed on a single row. Personally, I find the Ctrl+Shift+C (Copy Format)
and Ctrl+Shit+V (Paste Format) commands more useful.

If the Format Painter command/button does what Control-Shift-C and
Contro-Shift-V do, then that is what I'm looking for. Has it been
discontinued on the PC platform?

I'm very happy to learn about the keyboard commands, thank you.

I couldn' find "Home Tab" and there was no link from the Clipboard to
anything else.

Meanwhile, thanks very much,

sambones

No, it's still present on the Standard toolbar in every version up to Word
2003 for those who want to use it. If you have your Standard and Formatting
toolbars displayed on two rows (so that you're seeing all the buttons) and
don't see it on the Standard toolbar, then open Tools | Customize, locate
Format Painter (in the Format category on the Commands tab) and drag it to
the toolbar.

There is no Home tab in Word 2000--ignore that suggestion; it was for Word
2007.
