Word 2000 autocorrect or autotext character limit

Is there a way to use autocorrect or autotext for sections of text that are
larger then the 255 character limit. I am using Word 2000. I understand that
newer versions don't have this limitation.

There is no such limit for AutoText in Word 2000 or later (not sure about
Word 97). The *names* of AutoText entries are limited to 32 characters
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211489), but the entries themselves can
contain entire documents.

There is a 255 character limit on *unformatted* AutoCorrect entries. When
you go into the AutoCorrect dialog to define an entry, if you click the
Formatted option button it will accept much larger entries. I haven't tried
to find out how large, but it took more than 2000 characters without
complaining.
