Woord 2003 new dblank document with header & footer

When opening a 'new blank document' I would like the new document to open
with my pre-set Header & Footer. Instead of a blank document opening without
header & footer

Create a custom template with the desired contents (and/or settings). For
easy access, place a shortcut to your template on the desktop.

Thanks Stefan. But what I want is when word opens a new balnk document. It
opens the document with my Header & Footer. This is so I can merger from
Access. Can you you help me ? Thanks

Well, you *can* modify the headers and footers of normal.dot (the blank
document template) directly, but since it is also used for example when you
print labels, that may not be a good idea. See

Hi Stafan

Changing the 'Normal.doc' worked good. But when I'm in Access and i make a
report and then click 'officelinks' word, it doesn't open the 'Normal.dot' or
it may do but not with the header & footer.

Sorry, I don't know much about Access. Unless someone else here knows the
answer, you may want to ask in an Access forum instead.
