Won't remember network password. Tried everything!

Outlook 2003 will not remember my password when accessing
my pop3 mail client (yahoo) running windows XP. I have
followed all of the instructions (exactly)in knowledge
base articles "OLEXP: Your outlook express password in
not retained in Windows 2000 or XP" and "OL2002: The save
password setting in not saved when you connect to a pop3
server". This does not fix the problem. The enter
password box appears about 20 times a minute! I'm going
crazy. Please help.

Have you tried Yahoo! Mail Help?

----------------------------
I just got a new PC, the ME install of Outlook worked great, now,
since re-installing and getting all SPs, no matter how many time I
modify my email accounts, I cannot get the password to "stick." I
save, go back, the password field is empty again, altho I told it to
SAVE the password.

Also-- any way to get all my mail from the old machine into my new
machine's Outllook? Any help appreciated.

Jim
