Wont download anything now

3 weeks ago I did automatic update and IE 6 was
updated...now every site I go to to download anything all
it does is pop to new browser and displays a small box in
upper left corner and will not pop up download controls
and wont download anything at all...please help !! I need
some downloads really bad !

Try this fix.

Netscape-Style Plug-ins Do Not Work After Upgrading
Internet Explorer
If it is only .exe files, then read on and see if this is
relevant:
Remove the plugin with Regedit.exe
Start/Run menu applet execute: Regedit.exe
Navigate down to this key and remove it, after exporting
it as a normal safety precaution.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Plugins\Extension\.exe
If that key exists, then you will see what plugin has been
installed. The key does not normally exist.
