WMV playback on a stand-alone DVD player now possible?

The article is mostly focused on HDTV, but it does mention the I-O Data DVD
player (see
http://www.iodata.com/usa/products/products.php?cat=HNP&sc=AVEL&pId=AVLP2/DVDLA&ts=2&tsc)
which supposedly supports the WMV files created by WMM2 (no mention of the
HighMAT layout structure though).

Personally, the poor English on the site doesn't give me much confidence in
plunking down $250 for the "AVeL LinkPlayer2".

Its strange that DIVX players have been flouting the market for more
than a year now, while the takeup of WMV is still virtually absent. I
can buy a divx player for less than £35 here in uk. In US i gues it
would be even less...
