Hi. Is there a way to reduce the size of a Windows Media Video file so
it can be E-mailed? Thanks. deango

You can transcode it using a utility like dbPowerAmp. The quality will
of course go down. WMA and MP3 files are already heavily compressed.

A way to get around that size limitation is to post it on yousendit.com.
You put the email address of the recipient there plus your email address,
then a short message telling your friend what it's about. You can upload up
to 1GB sized file there. I have emailed entire programs that way. I first
zip all the files into one zip file and then load that zip file on
yousendit.com. I make sure I tell my friend in the message that he needs to
unzip the file somewhere after he downloads it.

Your friend receives an email from yousendit with your message plus
instructions to click on the inserted link to take him exactly to the
correct URL to download your post. You receive an acknowledgement from
yousendit.com that your friend has been sent the information for the
download and includes a link you can use to go there if you wish.
