wmp error

Help!
Most of the music in my media player won't play. I keep getting the error:
"Windows Media Player cannot find the file
(the filename is here)
It may have been moved, renamed, or deleted.

I think I deleted a music folder by mistake because I thought it was a
duplicate of what was in WMP but it must have been the only one.

I thought I could use the "system restore" to get them back but will it
delete stuff I've added since? Do I have any other options?
