wmp.dll Vista McAfee

R

Rob.

After Mcafee downloaded a significant update last week. (required a
reboot) I have started getting a message about wmp.dll being "outdated".

Also, sidebar gadgets do not work properly and the BBC iPlayer download
manager does not display properly.

Could all of these be connected? and is there a simple solution (other
than the obvious restore the system and remove McA before it updates)?

Thanks

Restore the system to a date before you installed McAfee. Having done this,
install an antivirus which does NOT bear the name McAfee or Norton, or maybe
Panda too..
