You will have to go to the Real Player options, and Uncheck all the file
associations, and tell it to not to apply any file associatons at restart.
Then go to WMP and tell it to select all the associations. Unfortunately,
you will have to do this on every single computer account you have under the
cp you installed the real player.
Thanks, Stuserver, as I've followed your instructions and now have defaulted
my WMP too. Annoying, WINAMP, had taken control of even my, Folder Context
Menu in Windows Explorer, and I never got around to investigating the
situation. Note: I had trouble finding WMP's Options until finally I came
across that tiny tiny triangler arrow next to, minimize/maxamize, X.

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!
"Produkt-Aktivierung macht frei"
You can do that, but the Real Player will keep on batling the
associations,
so you have to go in and uncheck everything, then tell it to
not apply it at
the program start up.
So you will now have the option of paying hundreds of dollars for adware
bloated with DRM with a look lifted from OSX to run your computer for
you. Not me!
