wmiprvse.exe. Not really a problem but...

Hello,
After SP2 was installed, I noticed a process in my system
called wmiprvse.exe (in TaskMgr runs as a Network
Service, under Username tab) which autoexecute itself
from time to time. I did a google search about this
process but I'm still confused on how (and why) it starts
and stops almost frequently. Does anyone knows about this
strange behavior?
Have no viruses or spywares to date.

Thanks Kelly, fortunately it is not a virus related
behavior. Just curious about how system handles this
process.
