WMDC & Mobile 5.0

I downloaded the new Windows Mobile Device Center to run on my Windows
Ultimate but it will not allow me to sync with my HP Ipaq which is running
Windows Mobile 5.0. I even uninstalled and re-installed making sure my PDA
was connected. I get an error message "Active Sync encountered a problem on
the desktop". Support code was 0x85010014. I can read my PDA and storage
card but need to sync my contacts. Should I go back to sync 4.5 or whatever
it was? Any helpful ideas?

Did you uninstall Active Sync first if you upgraded to Vista from XP (or
something else)?

Cari,
I did a clean install and then downloaded WMDC with my PDA connected. In
fact I did it twice just trying to get it to work. I get an error message
"Active Sync encountered a problem on the desktop". Also a support code of
Ox85010014. All I want to do is keep my contact info up to date.
