Everytime I see a link to send someone an email, it wants me to open a
windows mail account. So I did, and now all of my yahoo mail is going into
windows mail. I just want to be able to send mail, with out having to copy
and paste the link/email then go over to yahoo and compose.... Now all my
yahoo mail is gone from yahoo and its in windows mail!!!! how can I undo
this???

Select the account and click Properties.
On the Advanced tab check the box to leave a copy on the server.

Did you read the directions on that Yahoo page I gave you? It clearly
states that if Yahoo Mail is not shown as an option, you will need to
install Yahoo Messenger.

I got the impression that the OP would rather not use Windows Mail at all.

I have a paid account with Yahoo, and want to use thier premium features.
They just dont have a way to click a link to contact someone. It seems too
much of a hassle to configure it to only use it for the occaisional mailto:
link then have to delete all the mail that will accumulate in the WM mailbox
as I have enabled copy on the server....

Yahoo, said they dont have that feature, and Ive tried the instructions on
the link, there is no option for yahoo mail. Maybe its a Vista thing....???

Unfortunately the reps answering calls at Yahoo know next to nothing.
Yahoo's written instructions are better.
If you read those instructions, it clearly states that if you don't see
"Yahoo Mail", then you will need to install Yahoo Messenger.
Yahoo Messenger will add the Yahoo Mail entry to the Default Programs list.
You don't actually have to use Yahoo Messenger.
