version 8.0.0774.

under
C:\Documents and Settings\User NameLocal Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta\User Email\

WLMD seams to create lots of unnessasery log files that are all identical
and all 16,384 KB big, names included edb.log, edb00001.log, edb00002.log
edb0000?.log etc, res1.log, res2.log res?.log etc. It aslo generates edb.chk
and also edbtmp.log. I found the total of these files after using it for a
week to be over 300 MB which is alot of wasted space. it also generates
multiple sqmdata??.sqm files and multiple sqmnoopt??.sqm files which are
small ~ 4 KB.

Anyway to stop this from happening and any one else had this problem?

Thanks

Yes, that would be one of the things that beta software does. It would appear
that it is creating these logs for debugging purposes during the beta, and doing
it rather inefficiently.

Do you think it's any more inefficient than the DBX format in OE 5/6?
Now, that's a whole other can of worms, Frank. I'm going to go out on a limb and
say that I'd rather have the log files. :) That DBX format is bad!
