Does anyone know what this dll does - wkimgsrv?

It's stored in program files\microsoft works.

I have some backup software that is having trouble with this - some
sort of conflict. I am renaming it and seeing if that prevents the
conflict, but I'd like to know what the ramifications are if I do
that. I don't really use works, but this directory is still on my pc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or refer me to someone who
might know if I really even need this file????? What does it do?
What if it is gone?
