with Server

Patrick D.

Hi,

I am new to bcm.

I have Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 in my company. Can I
simply add BCM to my network, installing BCM on the clients?
How does my Exchange Server will handle this mini-CRM-System, witch connects
to SQL? Does Exchange worry about BCM?

Since I have an instance of SQL Server on the Server: Can I install BCM
Update without the MSDE?
Can BCM even connect to SQL 2005?

Thanks for your answers.

regards
Patrick

Exchange won't "see" BCM. The clients will appear as typical Outlook
clients to the Exchange mail server.

It is possible to install the BCM database on a SQL Server other than
the MSDE it ships with, but that's not supported and you should search
this newsgroup for the half dozen gotchas you'll run into if you go
down this route.

BCM v3 works with SQL Xpress 2005.
