wirless network

how i can config my cintrino wirless to share internet
connection from another desk top computer using the
intgrated wireless lan interface
connected with 3 com access point wirless and it is
connected with desktop pc and i share connection ,
the error is the intgrated wireless lan interface dos not
detect the wirless access point .

what is the confguration what i shoud do in lap top ?

1. Open XP's "Help and Support" program.
2. In the Search box type: WIRELESS , and hit enter.
3. Click on "Set up automatic wireless network configuration".
