Wireless Problems

Mr Hao Zang

I bought a wireless router(Dlink--DI-524) instead the orignial one. Now I
can access the internet using my centrino laptop(802.11G).I set the wireless LAN
environment to "open""no encryption",that means anyone with wireless networkcard
in the certain radius near my house could get access the internet.
In order to prevent someone using my limited download quota I used the
WPA-PSK/WEP with some preshared key, things changed. My laptop could find the
wireless LAN,but internet become not accessable.
Would anyone help me with this problem?

Hi

I had this problem.. I set the router's wireless encryption to WEP put in a
26 character code for 128bit encryption and locked myself out of the router
because I didn't note the code correctly when assigning it to the wireless
USB adapter on my laptop..

Solution was to connect to the router via a UTP cable thus getting round the
wireless problem. I then entered the router's software via IE with the web
address http://192.168.1.1 on my D-Link 604T and reset to no encryption and
started again.

you may be able to do the same.

Might help...
