I have just installed the wireless router on my desktop
and am using the pc wireless card on my laptop. I am
able to share the internet service but would like to know
if and how I would be able to share files from one
machine to the other. Also, since my printer is setup on
my desktop, is there also a way to be able to print from
my laptop.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Your wireless network is just like being hard wired to a
network, so all is possible.

On the desktop, set up file sharing on the directories
that you want to share over the network. You can set
permissions for these, but just enabling sharing should
let the laptop see the directories and files. You can
then move, save, copy files.

The same way you set sharing for the directories, set the
properties for your printer to share as well. Then on
your laptop, add a new printer. Look for a network
printer, it should find the desktop printer, and then go
on to install. If all goes well, you should be able to
user that printer as if it were directly connected.

good luck
