I am going to install a network in the new "Machine Shop" where I work but
am a little concerned as to whether to use cables or go wireless... My
biggest concern about going wireless is the building has metal siding on
both outside & inside. Anybody have any experience with metal interiors
(walls & ceiling) and wireless networks..? I am thinking that the metal
walls will play havoc with the wireless data...

This is a wireless networking issue, not a Windows XP networking issue. You'll
get more useful advice in alt.internet.wireless and
microsoft.public.windows.networking.wireless.

Cheers,

I would not recommend Wireless with Metal walls. Enough problems with
SheetRock walls already !
