wireless network problem

I have a D-Link wireless router/hub w/Adelphia cable modem and 2 IBM laptops
with internal wireless data links. I have good signal strength but lousy
conectivity, I do not have a reliable network. When I connect the modem to one
computer directly it works great. It does not appear to be on the adelphia end.
Any suggestion?

Thanks for the help

Are in an area where other wifi networks may be interfering? Apartments,
office area. What about other devices that may be sending out interfering
signals - microwave oven, cordless phones?

If you might have competing networks, get a copy of Netstumbler
(www.netstumbler.com) to see what's in your environment. Maybe using a
different channel will help.
