Wireless Network - Problem sending email.

I am using Outlook 2002 with XP Professional on a wireless network. I use
AVG antivirus software.

I never have problems receiving email.

However, I constantly have problems sending email, usually just after I open
Outlook.

What happens is that, instead of a message being sent, it goes to my sent
folder and a header appears, at the same time, in my Inbox saying, "System
Administrator: Undeliverable: Joe Bloggs" or whoever the addressee is.

Sometimes, after the third, fourth or fifth attempt, the mail is sent. Other
times, I have to close an reopen Outlook a couple of times to get it to
send.

Once the first message is sent, the problem doesn't usually recur during
that session.

I never have the problem when I use my 56k dial-up connection.

Any ideas? Should I have some setting checked in Outlook?

Thanks.

I found this post to be interesting, because I've had
the same problem on wireless LAN's, but none with dial
up. I am using the exact same configuration as you (XP
Pro, OL 2002, AVG Antivirus). The only difference is I
do not receive the error messages back to my inbox. It
just won't send.

Question for you, does your wireless network see much
traffic? I'm thinking it might be a bandwidth problem
(more people using the network=timeouts for Outlook).

Did you ever find out anything more on this problem?
