Wireless network not working

I have 2 desktop computers networked together using the ethernet cable. One
is connected to the printer/scanner/fax. The other computer is able to print
through the first computer. Both computers are able to shared files.
Therefore networking is fine between the two.
I also have a laptop which I am trying to connect through the wireless
network to see files from the other computer. When connected, the laptop is
able to see the desktop computers in the network tree. However on the first
computer (set up to printer) I am unable to click the icon 'Wireless Network
Setup Wizard' as Window says there is an error and needs to close the
program.
I think there is something wrong with the first computer as it also cannot
connect to the scanner (ever though the scanner and printer are the same unit
and the printer works fine).
Does anyone know what could be the problem? Thanks

No idea what the cause is, but one standard way to go would be a
repair installation of Windows, which keeps almost all settings
and all installed software.
