Works fine here - same mouse. What is the "vertical" setting in CONTROL
PANEL|MOUSE|WHEEL tab?

Enabled, med speed

Under the MS 2.0 wireless Explorer WHEEL tab I see no reference to
"medium" or "speed"... but instead there is an option to set how many
lines (or an entire page) for vertical scroll. Mine is set at TWO LINES.

I don't have a Wheel tab. Mine is a Scroll tab?

Humm, that would tend to hint at other than 5.5 Intellipoint software.
Check the DRIVERS tab, in Control Panel|SYSTEM|DEVICE MGR. to verify
what is truly installed. No "scroll" tab in the 5.5 set up here.

Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 12/1/2005
Driver Version: 5.50.661.0

Updated status: The mouse was replaced with a new one and it worked
flawlessly - defective mouse.

Thanks all!
