wired & wifi on same pc

I have 5 computers connected through a wired LAN, 2 of
these computers have wifi cards fitted for access to the
internet via a wireless router.

They work perfectly on the wired LAN but to work on the
wifi connection i have to disable the the wired LAN
connection.

Is there anyway the 2 computers can be configured to
access both the wired LAN and the wifi internet at the
same time

No, since the PCs must have a unique name on the network. If they had both
wired and wireless simultaneously the same PC would be appearing twice and
that would totally confuse your poor network.

With my Tablet which has both, I disable wireless when connecting via
wired... and when using the docking station which is wired, it will
automatically switch from wireless to wired and re-access wireless when
undocked so I don't have to do a thing.
