WinXP x64 PC cannot access network printer hooked up to 32-bit PC

I have loaded WinXP x64 pro onto a business network. I need to print to a
network printer attached directly to a 32-bit WinXP PC (USB link to PC and
NOT a straight network connection). The print server is set up to use both
32 and 64-bit Windows drivers, and the proper drivers are being installed. I
have tried to install the 64-bit drivers on both machines, but get the error
that "a suitable driver could not be found."

Is this a WinXP x64 issue, am I missing something in the system
configuration, or should I simply suspect a bad driver?

Windows XP will not support x64 drivers until Service Pack 3.

If you setup 32 bit drivers on the x64 machine, you can share the printer to
XP 32 bit.
