Informations :
OS in every computer : Windows XP Pro.
Brand Router A : SMC 7004BR
Brand Router B : Belkin Router 4-Port Switch

Here is the lay of the land :

Router A has computer 1, 2, 3, 4 (workgroup : HOME)

Cable that usually went to computer #4, now connect to a new Router B and it connect to two computers : 4 & 5 (workgroup : HOME)

Computer 1,2 & 3 can share file without any problem.

Computer 4 & 5 can share file without any problem as well.

But why computer 1,2,3 CAN NOT share any file with computer 4 & 5 ? Although each computers are in the same workgroup : HOME

Any help / comment would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance.

Kenneth

Set one router up to function as a switch instead of as a router and the
setup will work. Since each group of computers is on a different router
each is in a different IP address range and they won't see each other.

Thanks Richard for the reply. Would you mind telling me how to change a router function to be a switch function ? Is there any URL that you can provide ? Thanks a lot.

Sorry, I can't tell you but the manuals (or instructions on the
manufacturers' Web sites, if you don't have the manuals) should tell you
how.
