Does ne1 knw hw 2 get the reapir tool for winxp? ive got home edition and i dont think ive got, it says in the winxp offical mag dat u need to boot it frm the winxp cd? well i hav'nt got da winxp cd, ive got a recovery diskette, and the repair tool isnt on dere. so whr bouts can i get it.

Chris,
You might consider asking for help with a problem you have. Instead, you
have asked about getting a tool that is possibly beyond your experience
level in applying to the problem.
At any rate , since you have only a recovery CD and not the full Xp CD , you
may not even be able to apply it. That is a problem with those type
instructions, they aren't that clear to those of us with limited experience
and abilities. They look like you should be able to use them but you can't.
Not because you can't figure them out , but because you have to have a XP
CD, and not a Recovery CD.
At least that has been my experience with XP.
So , go ahead and re-post with your questions.
