WinXp Pro System Backup

When I use the Win XP Systsem Tools BACKUP utility, it does not let me choose my CD-Burner or DVD-Burner as the destination. I can get it to ask me to put a disc into the drive, but after I do so the 'hour-glass' mouse pointer just stays busy indefinitley

I have also separately tried to save the backup file to a second hard drive (FAT32) and it then successfully starts and progresses writing the file; however, since the source system/data files are greater than 4Gb, the backup does NOT complete

Hence, how can I complete system backup on my new Win XP system??

Thanks

Try transfering to a new folder that you create, once its thru, transfer t
cd or dvd from the folder.Actually useing file transfer wizard works bette
if all the files, folders need to be saved other than xp os files, although th
system configuration settings are also saved.
