WinXP Pro problem

I have WinXP Pro w/sp2 installed. The problem is programs keep opening
randomly by thenselves. Mostly calculator, my documents, browsers,
winrar, start menu. I have run avast, a-squared, trojan remover
ad-aware, hi-jackthis, and they have found nothing. I don't know what
else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this happening ONLY when the PC is connected to the internet or a LAN?
Do you have UPS software installed?
Is the mouse subject to a fair amount of vibration? Is it a wireless mouse?

I am on a cable modem, no UPS software but I do have a wireless mouse
and keyboard, which I installed new drivers. I've had the keyboard and
mouse for quite a while and it seems to have started recently. I have
my old k/b and mouse, I'll try that.

Did this all start after updating the new drivers ? if so, try
rolling them back

using a remote access program that executes when you open the file.

Thanks for all your help. I replaced the batteries in the keyboard, so
far so good!
