WinXP-Pro ICS and a routing switch

Hi Gurus...

Perhaps someone can tell me if this is possible? I'm trying to get some PCs
in one room of my house onto a wireless lan. I have a desktop in that room
on the wireless lan, with an additional nic card that I'd like to use in
conjunction with ICS to get it all tied together. Can you take a Cat5 cable
out from that nic and plug it into the WAN port on a router? I've tried a
million combos so far but to no avail. The last time I tried it fried my
TCP stack.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to do some homework. You don't need or want ICS if you're using a
router.
Just plug any Cat 5 cable from any computer directly into one of the ports
of the router. Plug the DSL modem into the WAN port of the router.
Configure the router for the Sympatico connection.
You only need one NIC in any computer.
Disable any PPPoE connection on any computer and use DHCP
