HI all,

I am a domain user with local admin rights trying to loggin into winxp
on my laptop unsuccessfully because the domain is unavailable and it
wont allow me to log in.
I know this is because of the cached credentials limited to a low
number in the registry which I have used up and to refresh I would
require to connect to a domain but i wont have that luxury for few
days and I need to access some files.

Does anybody has a idea for a workaround so I can logon to winxp, its
quite urgent as I need to finish some work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You must use a local account to log on until you can reconnect
the machine to your domain.

bit of a problem there as I don't know the details of the local account

You need to talk to your administrator, and/or perhaps review
your support arrangements if you cannot reach him over the
weekend.

Thanks for advice but in the end I drove to the office for refreshing
my credentials on a sunday.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you review your after-hours
support arrangements?

What advice?

Please include relevant section of the post you are responding to. We
have no idea, at this point, what you are talking about.

You may have missed out on some of the responses. I told the
OP to ask his SysAdmin for a local user account and to organise
things so that he can obtain after hours support.
