WinXP Home computer problems

This is a second post. Have problem with my computer shutting down randomly. Recently installed display adapter (NVIDIA MX100/200) drivers from NVIDIA as recommended by MAP in previous report. Followed NVIDIA's instructions for installation. Install had no problems. Computer up for 50+ hours then died as before. BSOD screen reports "Bad Pool Caller" and at bottom was a "STOP" error with mostly I think the following (0X0000C1) (0X0000000) (0X0000080) and (0X000000). What the hell does all this mean? And, more importantly, how do I get my computer back to normal like it was BEFORE Windows Update updated my display driver and this problem started???? Help! Also, have scanned for viruses and used the blaster worm removal tool (results: NO viruses found and No Blaster worm either!).

Maggot, go to www.guru3d.com and look for a Nvidia driver remover
Also, try a few different drivers from there.
0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article.)
A kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory
operations. Typically, a faulty driver or buggy software causes this.
a.. 0x000000C2 {KB 265879} Win 2000, Win XP
b.. 0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER {KB 310527} Win XP (upgrading Compaq
Professional Workstation AP550 from Win 2000 to XP)
c.. Computer with ATI RAGE FURY MAXX Video Adapter Stops Responding After
Upgrade to Win XP {KB 307151} Win XP

Rich Barry: Why would I want to try different drivers??? My system worked fine until I downloaded and installed the NVIDIA driver from Windows Update! I have an NVIDIA card, therefore, should use NVIDIA driver. I'm no computer whiz by any means which, I guess, is why I do not understand your response; but, thanks at least for taking the time to try and help me out.....

If your system worked fine until you "downloaded and installed the NVIDIA
driver from Windows Update" then is apparent that that driver is causing the
problem. Either roll back to your previous driver or go to the NVIDIA web
site and get the proper XP driver for your video card.

Sometimes you have to try a few different Nvidia drivers for one to work
the way you want to. For instance, I have
a GF3-Ti-200 and can't use any of the 40.xx drivers cause they cause
bsod's. And the 20.xx series doesnt work
very well either. So I use the 30.87 drivers.
