WinXP hangs after Welcome start

Hey, I just installed windows xp. I managed to repair some of my instalation
in the Recovery Center. Now after my welcome screen I get a tiled desktop
and nothing else. It hangs right there. I was reading one of the knowledge
base questions and it said it could be due to a USB support problem. I
thought this could be due to some video error? I can get into safe mode and
everything looks alright. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
