Winxp ftp folder bugs

Hi,
I am facing the following problem for ftp folder copy & paste
operation as listed below:
1) When u copy a folder from ftp browser and paste in desktop, while
the copy is in progress the desktop hangs.
2) When the folder copy from ftp to local drive is in progress, before
starting the copy operation it first enumerates the folder during this
time if u press cancel to the progress dialog it won't respond.
Please provide me any solution to fix the above problem.

Use an FTP client? Using IE as an FTP client is slow, limited, and as you
see buggy. Have a free one:
