winxp display settings

When I go to control panel/display/appearance/effects and enable the 'show
window contents while dragging' option, it is enabled only for as long as the
computer is on. If I shut down windows(xp sp1) or reboot, the box is no
longer checked. All other settings are saved, but that one just wont stick.
What IS my problem? Any solution will be promptly rewarded with my sincere

Hi kjc,

Do you have a Dell? Anyway, here is a program from David Candy that turns on
"Show window contents while dragging" setting. Just place this executable
shortcut to the Startup group. You can download it from here:
