Winword Save Error

Hi all, I have found a problem with Word. Every time I go to 'save' or 'save
as' word freezes then totally crashes, I have to ctrl+alt+del to shut it
down. I have uninstalled all office and re-installed, including following
on-line crash analysis to download updates. Nothing seems to fix the
problem. Can anyone help? Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a
fix? Eric

Yes - I noticed Monday 4/17 that immediately after Windows updated, I had the
same problem with both Office and Excel - and probably also any Office
application although I didn't check PowerPoint, etc. Also, all of my
addresses in Outlook Express were eliminated. I performed a system restore
to one day last week, and that solved the problem. Then I updated Windows
again, and experienced the same problem - so once again I did a system
restore, and problem solved.

I have to assume that there is a bug in this week's Windows update. Has
anyone else had the same problem?
