WINSXS Folder is HUGE!

S

Sergiu GHENOV

It has about 25 GB!
I know that the HDD drives are cheap, but come on, it's huge!!
Is there any tool available for reducing the size of it?

Thanks!
Sergiu.

Welcome to Microsoft Bloat. Yeah, there's a way to reduce it. Go to
www.ubuntu.com and download the .ISO and burn it to a CD. Then go into
your BIOS and set it to boot from the CD and insert the Ubuntu CD and
reboot and follow the easy instructions to install it. Not only is it
FREE, it comes with access to thousands of FREE programs.

Enjoy!

Yes, but it is growing over and over.
In Windows XP there was nothing like it.
Can't I disable this compatibility folder or something like it?
There are a lot of duplicate files.
Why????
This folder is creepy! Really :(

Leave it be.

Who in their right mind would want to use an INFERIOR OS like Ubuntu that
NOBODY wants? I'll tell you - NOBODY. Remember Ubuntu is FREE and is still
on less than one percent of the desktops out there. This is true even after
many years of Ubuntu being available. People don't want Ubuntu. People
don't like Ubuntu.

A lie.
I'll tell you - NOBODY.

Another lie. Ho hum.

Yawn.

. This is true even after
many years of Ubuntu being available.

Define "many".
People don't want Ubuntu.

A lie.

People
don't like Ubuntu.

My, my, my, another lie. Everyone act surprised.

MS market share is going down and both Apple and Ubuntu are going up.
Please try keep up, although you won't and all you'll do is what you
know how to do best: LIE. Unfortunately for you, you're not even good at
lying so I guess that makes you a Usenet loser who, like Frank, is
limited to a one trick pony act.

Yawn.

So idiot, why then if Ubuntu is free and is still on less than one percent
of the desktops, why isn't word of mouth spreading like hotcakes and why
isn't everyone installing such a "bargain"?

I'll tell you why: Ubuntu doesn't run the popular software programs so
people don't want to use Ubuntu. Plain and simple.

Define "many".

A lie.

No - It's true. A Free product would take over the market if it was better
than what's already out there. Guess what? It isn't. Live with it loser.

People

My, my, my, another lie. Everyone act surprised.

Especially Alias because he thinks that Ubuntu is the best thing since
sliced bread. In reality, most dismiss Ubuntu as a toy written by geeks for
geeks. Imagine, a FREE OS that NOBODY wants. That should really get your
panties all in a bunch.

Factor out the USA and you'll see that Ubuntu holds around 30 per cent
of the market. Being as it comes from Africa and isn't "Made in the
USA", most American shun it, especially the Americans that identify with
Bush, Cheney, Palin and Joe the Plumber. If Windows 7 is as much a flop
as Vista was, you'll see more Americans wising up. In Spain, for
example, most computers are sold built to suit not at Best Buy or Walmart.

See above and educate yourself.

realize it.

Yes, factor out the USA when it comes to Ubuntu. Most people are more
computer savvy then people in other countries so once they realize how
INFERIOR Ubuntu really is, they will dismiss it in time.

What a crock of shit you post. Ubuntu has nothing to do with Bush, Cheney,
...etc... There are other distros of Linux that are made in the USA and
guess what? People dismiss those copies also. Fact is, most people dismiss
all variations of Linux because it just doesn't work for their needs.
Republicans, Democrats, rednecks, whatever.

No wonder why they kicked your sorry ass out of the USA. You are a
dumbshit.

Um, most people in the USA are NOT as computer savvy as in Europe. Most
Americans buy their computers from Best Buy and Walmart or order a Dell.

No it has everything to do with the type of person who votes for them,
dumb ****.
There are other distros of Linux that are made in the USA and

Um, you forgot the part about Best Buy and Walmart. Most Americans DO
NOT install their own OS or even know how to! AOL made it big time with
the "computer savvy" Americans but didn't get to first base in Europe.

No wonder you lie -- I was not kicked out of the USA -- because lies are
all you have and you hold on to them as if your life depended on it.

If most people in Europe were savvy then they wouldn't be buying a PC with
any Linux distro on it. They would know better so your statement is FALSE.

No it has everything to do with the type of person who votes for them,

WRONG.

So what happened to AOL? They use to be king but people know that AOL is
SHIT and stay away. People ditch AOL by the millions. The same people who
purchase from BestBuy and Walmart. The same people who, if they had Ubuntu
on their computers, they would realize how INFERIOR Ubuntu is and wipe it
clean and install Windows.

Sorry - Ubuntu will always be shit.

So if most people buy their computers from BestBuy and Walmart
A lie. Most people don't even know about Linux.

But the people who do know about Linux dismiss it as just a toy written by
geeks for geeks. You just don't like that FACT.

Not a fact, sorry. But if it helps you get it through the night, keep
believing it but don't cry to me when you've realized that you've missed
the bus, Gus.

What daMonkey is trying to tell you is that he doesn't have the
intelligence to use any computer interface that requires more than
following a wizard for all operations.

But you didn't provide any evidence to the contrary, just some personal
abuse. In this case, guilty unless proven innocent.

Another Ubuntu wanna be fanboy? Tell me, why isn't Ubuntu on more than one
percent of the desktop computers out there? Ubuntu has been free for many
years and it was that good, word would spread and millions would make the
switch. That isn't happening. How come? Care to reply?
