Frequently get "broadcasting messaging failed to contact the broadcast
messaging server. URL=https://bm.windowsonecare.com/bm.aspx" etc". Also,
"the data is the failure HRESULT"

How can I stop this? Do I have a setting set incorrectly?

Do some changes in the settngs of Windows Update.

Visit Windows Update Site and on the left pane you will find Change
Settings.Click on that and under Advanced put a check mark against Show
beta products and related updates.Apply the changes and retry.

Thank you for your reply. Went to Update Site as you suggested, and found
that the "Show beta products..." box was already checked. Any other
recommendations? I'm using XP Home SP2, by the way. Thanks again.
